Delivery Process for Cody Dachshund Puppies

Bringing home a dachshund puppy is a moment filled with excitement and anticipation, and at Cody Dachshund Puppies, we are dedicated to making this transition smooth, joyful, and stress-free. To accommodate your unique needs, we offer flexible delivery options designed to ensure your puppy’s safe and comfortable journey to their forever home.

Our Step-by-Step Delivery Process

1. Discover and Reserve Your Perfect Puppy

Begin your journey by browsing our carefully curated collection of dachshund puppies. Each puppy is presented with a detailed profile that highlights their unique personality, temperament, and coat type. Once you’ve found your ideal match, you can secure your puppy with ease using our secure reservation system. Our team will take care of all necessary documentation, ensuring a hassle-free start to your new adventure.

2. Health Preparation and Care

Before your puppy embarks on their journey, they are thoroughly examined by a licensed veterinarian. This comprehensive health check ensures that your puppy is in optimal condition to travel. Every puppy is:

  • Vaccinated
  • Dewormed
  • Microchipped for identification and safety

We also provide a health certificate as proof of your puppy’s excellent condition, so you can feel confident that your furry friend is ready for their new home.

3. Choosing the Right Delivery Option

Delivery & Shipping Options

       First of all, we do NOT allow shipping in cargo. We never truly had any issues with shipping in cargo, but the fear of not knowing who is handling our babies at all times has caused us to stop. We do allow shipping in cabin, though. 

       We currently offer personal delivery, personal shipping, shipping with a flight nanny, or meeting you at our airport. Read below for a more detailed description of each. 

  •  Personal Delivery – Doris & I will personally deliver your puppy to you via driving for a rate of $1.0 per mile roundtrip. We do not deliver to your front door sometimes; we will deliver to a public location in the town of your choosing. 
  • Personal Shipping – Doris & I will personally fly with your puppy in cabin to the airport of your choosing. The cost of this option varies with the cost of flights. If interested in this option, we can discuss costs. * READ BELOW ABOUT DIET & FLYING *.
  • Shipping with a Flight Nanny – We use a licensed flight nanny to fly with your puppy in cabin to your nearest airport. The cost of this option does vary as well, but it usually averages about $300-$700. I can contact the flight nanny for an accurate cost at that time. 
  • Meeting you at the BNA – Doris & I can meet you at our local airport, free of charge. You can fly in, meet up with us at ticketing, and then return home on a return flight. Please talk with me prior to booking the flight as some airlines do not allow pets in cabin as well as we need to verify we are available to drive to us that day. You will be responsible for your own tickets and airline approved pet carrier.

       If you are choosing to travel to us, we do try to meet within 1 hour free of charge – usual meeting locations depending on your direction(AREA) so just ask before making plans. 

       If you are choosing an option via flying, you will NEED to order the raw diet atleast once. We cannot send any of their diet with them when they fly due to it needing to stay frozen and airline regulations. For transition purposes, you will want to have the raw diet for when your new puppy arrives, which will be provided alongside the puppy.

4. Shipment Day Protocol

On the day of shipment, our team captures a video of your puppy to confirm their health, playful demeanor, and overall well-being. The video will highlight key aspects such as:

  • Teeth
  • Ears
  • Eyes
  • Coat condition

If you opt for personal pickup, you’ll have the opportunity to inspect your puppy in person and address any questions before leaving with your new companion.

Delivery Across the USA

Our delivery services cover the entire United States, offering flexibility and reliability no matter where you are located. Puppies can be delivered:

  • Via Ground Transportation: In certain regions, we offer delivery by train or bus, allowing you to meet your puppy at a designated station.
  • Through Third-Party Couriers: For long-distance deliveries, we partner with reputable transport specialists to ensure your puppy arrives safely.

Shipping costs are calculated separately and depend on the distance and chosen courier service. We can recommend trusted partners or work with a courier of your choice.

Ownership Transfer and Responsibilities

Ownership of the puppy is officially transferred to you at the time of handover. If, for any reason, the puppy is not received at the scheduled time, the adoption contract will be voided, and a full refund will be issued. Once the puppy is in your care, it is your responsibility to provide a loving and nurturing environment.
